This year is the 60th Anniversary of the opening of Hurn Court School, and to mark this special occasion, the Hurn Court Old Boy’s Association will be holding a Banquet at The Hermitage Hotel, Bournemouth on May 12.

The school was situated near to the village of HURN in Dorset (about 1 mile from what is now known as Bournemouth International Airport). It was opened on May 1st 1952 as a Boarding School with a farming influence, suitable for boys wishing to take up Agricultural Science and Farming as part of its Curriculum.

From memory, I remember that there were a large number of pupils who lived within the counties of Cornwall, Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset in particular, with whom contact has been lost due to the destroying of the details of Old Boy's who had left the school between 1955 and its closure in 1989.

As this is a very special anniversary that the Association is celebrating, I and my committee are making every effort to locate former colleagues with whom contact has been lost and with your help we might again make contact.
