Japanese wrestling superstars are set to battle in Oxford this weekend.
On Saturday, May 18, Stars of Japan, the second largest pro-wrestling market in the world, will battle at The Oxford Academy on Sandy Lane West.
The event will see Kota Minora of Dragon Gate, one of Japan’s most prestigious wrestling companies, challenge for the British Kingdom Junior Heavyweight Championship against Mochizuki Jr, also of Dragon Gate.
The match is made possible by a partnership between British Kingdom Pro Wrestling and Dragon Gate.
Minora, who gives a 'gold' rose to audience members ahead of each match, is a former Open the Twin Gate and Open the Triangle Gate Champion.
British Kingdom Pro Wrestling founder and promoter, Dave Sharp, said: "We bring in the best wrestlers in the world, and they’re here to prove a point.
"They leave it all in the ring, each and every time they step through the ropes.
"The event is loaded up, not only with the best from Japan, but also the best from the UK.
"You do not want to miss this one."
The Revolt 2024 event will also feature a Heavyweight Championship match between Bristol's Chris Bronson and Swindon's Saime Sahin.
Meanwhile, ‘The English Lion’ Eddie Ryan, who is known for his reign as five Star Real Wrestling Champion, will take on Iran’s Tiger Ali.
