POLICE have found two pet goats which were snatched overnight in West Dorset.

The goats, named Pickle and Pepper, were reportedly stolen during the night on Monday, January 22.

In searches the following day, officers from the Dorset Police Rural Crime Team stopped a vehicle on the A31.

The driver was arrested for driving offences, as well as the theft of the two goats.

The vehicle he was driving was seized for further investigation.

Shortly after this, officers were able to recover Pickle and Pepper.

The Dorset Police Rural Crime Team has also been investigating the theft of two other goats.

The baby pygmy goats, named Margoat and Robbie, were stolen from a property in Marshwood on Thursday, January 11.

Following enquiries, the goats were recovered in Yeovil, Somerset, on Saturday, January 13.

Officers have now arrested two males believed to be involved in their theft.
