A GLITTER ball is taking place tomorrow (November 11) to raise money for charity.

Organised by trail hunting group, Dart Vale, South Pool & Modbury Harriers, the ball is set to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth, Erme Valley Riding for the Disabled, and South West Blood Bikes.

And some amazing prizes have been donated to help raise money including artwork, gift boxes, hampers and vouchers.

The glitter ball will be at Boringdon Park Golf Club in Plympton and will include an auction to raise money for the charities.

Jen Freeman, from the group, said: “The lots that have been donated by so many people are absolutely beautiful and we are just amazed by their generosity. There is a wonderful community spirit in this area and that’s why people rally round to support good causes.

"We have a longstanding relationship with St Luke’s Hospice, which provides such an extraordinary service, and we also raised money for Erme Valley riding for the disabled group last year too, while this year we are supporting the blood bikes for the first time. It’s wonderful to be able to give something back.”
