STARS from the south west shone at this year's British Farming Awards.
Four people from the region celebrated last night (October 19) at the awards ceremony after being crowned gold winners.
The ceremony was held at the Vox, Birmingham and it was attended by more than 800 farmers and industry professionals.
The south west winners are as follows:
- Arable Farmer of the Year: Ed Horton, Poulton Fields Farm, S.S. Horton and Sons, Gloucestershire
- Contractor of the Year: Kevin Heywood, A.J. Heywood and Sons, Cornwall
- Farm Worker of the Year: Holly Atkinson, Caulston Farm, Carswell Farms, Devon
- New Entrants Award: Against the Odds: Alex and Emily Crawley, Wyeside Farm, Grazing Management, Gloucestershire
