A COUNCIL in the South West is calling on farmers to help shape a Local Nature Recovery Strategy for the region.

Cornwall Council, alongside the Council of the Isles of Scilly and Cornwall's Local Nature Partnership, are hoping to create a road map to help rejuvenate and nurture nature.

They want to include what actions to take, where to focus their efforts and work on how to bring back the thriving natural landscape.

A spokesperson from Cornwall Council said they have an 'ambitious goal' of 'nurturing 30% of [the] land for nature by 2030'.

"Over the upcoming 12-18 months, this strategy will take shape with input from various quarters, including our resilient farming community, businesses, local communities and environmental organisations," they said.

"We're all in this together, and we value your insights. Your participation matters greatly, and there's a fantastic way to make your voice heard. Join us in shaping the Local Nature Recovery Strategy by taking part in the survey and exploring the interactive map. Let's collaborate to create a greener, healthier future for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly."
