POLICE in Cornwall are appealing for witnesses after a collision between a royal mail truck and a crop-spreader. 

The collision occurred at approximately 8:10pm on Friday, August 25, on the A30 Chybucca, Cornwall.

Devon and Cornwall Police and ambulance services attended the scene and a man in his 40s was taken to hospital with serious injuries, while the driver of the crop-sprayer was uninjured. 

Anyone with any information is being asked to contact police. 

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision which happened on the A30 Chybucca, Cornwall.

"Officers were contacted at approximately 8.10pm on Friday, August 25, to reports of a collision on the junction of the A30 Chybucca and the B3284 leading towards Shortlanesend.

"The incident involved a red Royal Mail truck and a red Bateman agricultural crop sprayer.

"Police and Ambulance attended the scene and a man in his 40s was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"The driver of the crop sprayer was uninjured.

"Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has information regarding it to contact police by either calling 101 or via the website quoting log number 0127 of the 25th August 2023.

"Police are keen to hear from any persons that may have captured the collision on a dashcam."
