Rumours about the TV series Clarkson's Farm are swirling after a controversial newspaper column Jeremy Clarkson wrote about the Duchess of Sussex.

A press conference launching the second season of the hit TV series had been planned for Tuesday but was cancelled the night before.

Earlier on Monday, Clarkson shared another apology about the article he wrote for The Sun last month in which he called for the Duchess to “parade naked” around the country while people “throw lumps of excrement at her”. He also wrote about "hating her" on a "cellular level".

The article prompted a furious response and The Sun subsequently removed the article from its website.

Apologising days after the article was published, Clarkson said, "I’m horrified to have caused so much hurt and I shall be more careful in future."

On Monday he issued another apology, saying, "This is me putting my hands up. This is a mea culpa with bells on."

He said that he had written to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and that both ITV and Amazon were said that ITV and Amazon “were incandescent”.

After Tuesday's press conference was cancelled, some news outlets, including The Telegraph and Sky News, have been reporting Clarkson's Farm is to be cut from 2024, along with Grand Tour, another of Clarkson's.

However, it appears that Amazon is still planning to launch the second season of Clarkson's Farm in February - and a spokesperson for Amazon has told the PA news agency that that the third series of Clarkson’s Farm is “currently in production to launch at a later date”.

The spokesperson would not comment on reports of ties between Amazon and Clarkson being cut.

Clarkson's Sun column is the Independent Press Standards Organization’s most complained about article since it began in 2014, attracting nearly 21,000 complaints.
