A man on the run in Devon was accosted by a herd of cows as he tried to make a get away into the night.
Officers from the National Police Air Service South West found and videoed the man as they assisted officers on the ground in their search earlier this week.
They then shared the video on social media. It shows the suspect being herded through a field by around 14 cows in the pitch darkness.
Turns out the man on the run was not very well cow-moo-flaged from the air, thanks to the thermal imaging camera.
Watch the moment a man on the run from @DC_Police was herded up by a group of cows in Devon and mooved out of their field into the arms of waiting Police Officers - however we did have to remind the cows not to take the law into their own hoofs👮♂️ 🚓 🐄 🐄 🐄 ^GMO pic.twitter.com/SSBlX3oND6

At the end of the video the police team on the ground thank their airborne colleagues, but the officer in the helicopter says they should "thank the cows."
As you can imagine, plenty of puns followed, with the team summarising the operation by saying: "It was a high steaks incident - he was told to stop running but it clearly went in one ear and out the udder - great team effort as always."
An example of excellent cow-operation between police teams.
