Three men arrested after a break-in at a farm in the Purbeck area of Dorset will face no further police action.

Just after midnight on Monday morning (October 3) police were called with reports of a suspicious vehicle on a farm in the Affpuddle area, and a farm building storing horse tack was broken into.

The car left the farm and was later found on the A35 near Morden Park Corner.

The occupants of the car fled the scene.

Police seized the vehicle and seached the area with a police dog.

They then arrested a 19-year-old man and a 30-year-old man – both from Verwood – as well as a 42-year-old man from the Alderholt area on suspicion of burglary.

The force has this morning comfirmed that, following further enquiries, all three men have been released without charge and will face no further police action.

Officers are continuing to investigate the matter.
