Following the success of an invention competition introduced at the Royal Welsh Smallholder and Garden Festival in 2007, the competition will be held again along similar lines for this year's event being held on May 17 and 18.
There will be two categories this year, with entries being divided into simple or complex inventions.
This is because organisers want to to build on the sheer variety of ideas exhibited last year and encourage entries from smallholders who may previously have felt their ideas were too small, or not complex enough, say organisers.
