The A30 bypass eastbound is reported to be partially blocked as a result, with traffic monitoring system INRIX reporting queuing traffic due to the fire on the verge.
This is the second fire this week near the A30, with a fire breaking out near Mitchell yesterday (Thursday).
These latest fires come as a drought was declared throughout the south west today.
An amber extreme heat weather warning is in force until Sunday.
