Police are making people smile after officers confirmed that a man seen being bundled into the boot of a car was in no danger.
Earlier this week, Gloucestershire Police had issued an urgent appeal for witnesses after a man had been seen being locked into a car boot on the A48 in Blakeney.
This morning officers took to social media to give an update.
It was not a man being kidnapped - it was a manikin used for water rescue training being packed away!
Lovely to see a little light humour.
We issued an urgent appeal this week after a call that a man was seen being put into the boot of a car on the A48 in Blakeney. Thankfully we soon found out that the βmanβ was in fact a realistic looking water rescue manikin by Extreme Simulations. Here he is in training that day: pic.twitter.com/AgOmO3Z5qw
