Two barns caught fire on a farm near Ringwood on Thursday (July 28) afternoon.
The barns at a farm on Dragon Lane in Bisterne were storing around 25 tonnes of straw, which fuelled the fire, but fortunately, no persons or animals were involved.
A combined fire service response was required, with crews from Ringwood and Fordingbridge called at 3.07pm who were then joined by firefighters from Christchurch, Redhill, Wimborne and water carriers from Ringwood and Wilton.
The barns were well alight and more than more than 35 firefighters were on the scene, working with the farmer to control the burn.

The stop message came in at 10.25pm after the incident had been scaled back and firefighters had dampened down the scene using jets and hose reels.
One barn was destroyed along with the straw it was storing, but the second barn suffered only a few bales burnt by flying embers.
