FIREFIGHTERS were called to a “large field fire” in Wareham this afternoon.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Services were sent to the fire in Bere Road, Wareham just after 2pm on Monday, July 11.
The fire spread across an area of approximately 150x150 metres.
A fire engine and uniMog from Wareham Fire Station was sent to tackle the fire, as well as crews from the station in Hamworthy, a Land Rover pump from Bere Regis, a water carrier from Hampshire and two pumps from Poole.
The fire came to a stop at 3.21pm and everybody had left the scene by around 4.30pm.
