A barn storing gas cylinders caught fire near Yelverton on Sunday night (June 5).
At 8.30pm the fire service was called by a number of people reporting that they could see thick black smoke in the Long Ash area near Buckland Monachorum.
Fire crews from Plympton, Crownhill, Bere Alston and Yelverton were mobilised.
On arrival they found a barn, 8 x 12 metres in size, well alight - and that there were cylinders of gas stored inside.

Fire control received a number of calls reporting thick black smoke in the area of Long Ash, fire crews from the nearby stations were promptly mobilised.
Using breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and a safety jet firefighters tackled the fire but the barn was completely destroyed by the fire.
