Jonathan Hogg from the hard-working NFU offices at Dingwall and Thurso offices has collected the Membership Flame Award, presented in recognition of outstanding efforts in recruitment and retention of members.

The award was announced in February at the union’s online AGM but, due to covid restrictions, its presentation had been delayed – until the packed NFUS roadshow in Dingwall on May 19, where union president Martin Kennedy and regional chair Cameron Maciver were delighted to present the award in person to Jonathan in front of more than 60 members.

Along with his colleague Graham Laing, Jonathan recruited 32 new members for the Ross-shire, Sutherland and Caithness branches in 2021 – an outstanding achievement made even more stunning given the challenges of working through Covid-19 restrictions.
