A tractor driver near Redruth has been reported by the police for not using an amber beacon.

Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team stopped the tractor on the A30 near Redruth on Sunday (April 24).

The driver was not using a flashing amber beacon, despite driving slowly on a dual carriageway.

The law states that tractors with a maximum speed that is less than 25mph must have a warning beacon lit.

There are two exceptions to The Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989: vintage tractors registered before January 1, 1947 and tractors simply directly crossing a dual carriageway.

The police team shared the photo on social media, saying that the driver had been reported for breaking the law.
