A barn near Bridport full of hay and machinery was totally destroyed in a fire on Friday night (April 1).
Fire crews from Bridport and Beaminster were mobilised just before midnight to reports of a barn on fire in Shipton Gorge, near Burton Bradstock.
Both Bridport's pumping appliances, the water carrier and Beaminster Fire Stations pump and light off-road vehicle attended.
On arrival they found a single-storey barn holding around 60 tonnes of hay and machinery well alight.
Crews isolated the electrics and fought the fire using main lines, small tools and a water shuttle - approximately 25,000 litres of water was needed to put the fire out.
The fire, which is currently being investigated, destroyed the barn and its contents.
A crew from Bridport returned to the site the following morning for a re-inspection.
