A tractor was completely destroyed in a fire in a farmyard near Totnes.
Crews were mobilised to reports of the tractor fire in the Harberton area at 9.42am on Saturday morning (March 26).
Firefighters from Totnes, Paignton and Torquay got to work with breathing apparatus, hose reel jets and compressed air foam.
Unfortunately, although the crews worked quickly to pout the fire out, they could not save the machine and the tractor was destroyed.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
Totnes Fire Station shared photos via social media, using the opportunity to ask anyone that lives or works within five minutes of the station and is interested in becoming an on call firefighter to get in touch as the station is hiring.
