One of Cornwall’s best loved one-day agricultural shows is set to return in July after a two-year hiatus.

The executive committee of the Camborne Show Society had to take the disappointing decision to cancel the event in 2020 and 2021 due the uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, the event’s organisers are looking forward to putting on one of the region’s leading one-day agricultural shows once again on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

Reg Bennett, chairman of Camborne Show Society said: “We are very much looking forward to staging Camborne Show again in July and look forward to welcoming competitors and visitors this July to enjoy a great day out.

"Last year we decided that rather than holding a show in uncertain times we’d spend that time and effort in preparing to hold a fantastic show in 2022 that will live up to our usual, high standards and that’s what we’ve done.

“The committee have worked so hard over the past few years to improve the show which has resulted in a rise in competitive entries and trade stands had grown to nearly 100.

"We’d also added a well-supported and popular vintage vehicle section to the things to do see and do."

Camborne Show’s busy schedule of competitions include a horse section, which boasts national qualifier classes, a dog show, showing jumping, cattle, goat, sheep, poultry, horticulture, and domestic and craft sections.

Mr Bennett added: "Competition schedules will be published soon and will be available on the show’s website along with entry forms. Regular updates will be posted on the official Facebook page.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Saturday, July 16, 2022 for what is set to be another top Camborne Show with something for everyone to enjoy.”
