Wiltshire police are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered a serious eye injury during an assault in Tidworth.

The incident happened on the evening of November 30, but was only reported to police this week.

The victim, a man in his 20s, had been in the Royal British Legion, in Pennings Road, at around 10pm when he was assaulted.

He suffered a serious eye injury and is more than likely going to need surgery.

Det Con Ben Brewster, from Salisbury CID, said: “We appreciate that this incident happened a couple of weeks ago, but we believe that anyone who witnessed the attack is likely to remember it.
