JEWELLERY, watch and silver valuer Helen Preece has just joined the team at Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s antique saleroom in Taunton.

Ms Preece has a lifelong interest in antiques, particularly jewellery, and as a youngster used to attend the London markets with her aunt who was an avid collector.

Her love of jewellery flourished further when she began her career in a high street retail jewellers, which made bespoke items and carried out repairs.

“I love the history of antiques, especially jewellery, said Ms Preece, who lists art deco and Victorian designs as among her favourites.

Before joining Greenslade Taylor Hunt, she ran a successful jewellery, silver and watch department for another auction house.

She also has a penchant for silver and the charms of costume jewellery and appreciates jewellery from all eras.

She is particularly delighted with a diamond and ruby pendant necklace, which will feature in the antiques sale on December 2.
