Following his recent graduation from the University College of Estate Management, Stags is delighted to announce the internal promotion of George Olver from a negotiator in Truro’s residential department to graduate surveyor in the Cornwall Farm Agency Department.

Andrew Ranson, associate partner, said: “We are thrilled to welcome George to the Farm Agency Department and know that, given his proven track record on Stags’ residential side, his rural background and passion for property, he will be a great asset to our successful and expanding team.”

George’s new role will primarily involve assisting in the sale of farms and land throughout Cornwall and along the Devon/Cornwall border, whilst also helping with farm livestock and machinery auctions, formal property valuations and rural planning applications, as he works towards achieving his RICS Chartered Surveyor qualification.

Having grown up on a family dairy farm in Mid Cornwall, George is a keen member of Cornwall Young Farmers, taking part in various competitions and fundraising events throughout the south west.

Often found helping at Stags’ Tavistock livestock market, George said: “I particularly enjoy working with those in the rural community and I am looking forward to my exciting new position in this varied role.”
