A horsebox being towed by a 4x4 flipped onto the central reservation of the A38 today (Friday, November 5).

Fortunately, there were no animals inside the horsebox and no-one was injured in the accident.

The vehicle stayed upright but the horsebox flipped over the central reservation, blocking one lane and affecting another.

Both lanes of the A38 were closed between the A382 Drumbridges and the B3344 Clay Lane, firstly for the police to put cones down and then for the vehicles to be recovered.

The lane closures caused a mile and a half of traffic eastbound and a mile westbound.
