This morning (October 21) fire crews were called to help rescue a lorry stuck in Bristol Harbour.
Crews were mobilised at 7.19am and on arrival, found a lorry submerged in the water.
The driver had made it to safety and while not injured, they were, understandably, shaken by the incident.
Firefighters from Avon Fire and Rescue Service secured the 44 tonne lorry using winches, heavy rescue equipment, fire engines and a safety boat.
A cordon was put in place and nearby boats evacuated to ensure safety on the scene.
At just after half past 12 the fire service confirmed that the lorry was secure and that crews are working with a recovery vehicle to remove it.
