A very young Cocker Spaniel has been stolen from a village in Taunton Deane following reports of a suspicious car.
Olive is only four months old.
She was stolen from Creech Heathfield on Monday (October 18) at around 5pm.
A red Volkswagen Polo was seen slowing down as it drove past Olive during a walk.
The Avon and Somerset Police Rural Crime Unit is appealing for information about the theft and the car.
A spokesperson said: "Olive a 4 month old Cocker Spaniel has been taken from Creech Heathfield on monday 18th around 5pm.
"A red polo seen slowing to drive past Olive on the road - was it you? can you help?
"The family need their dog back - have you found one?"
Anyone with information is asked to call police officers on 101 quoting the reference number 5221245568.
