A plot of land in rural Dorset has sold for nearly four times its guide price at an auction.
The parcel of land measuring about 0.5 acres near Cranborne was put up for auction for just £30,000 by Symonds and Sampson.
Based in a secluded location in the heart of the Cranborne Chase, there is a mixture of deciduous and evergreen trees including Sycamore, Ash and Yew and the remains of a brick and cob cottage.
Its brochure shared how it has 'impressive views' of surrounding Dorset and potentially suitable for a range of uses subject to planning permission.
The brochure shares how the village offers two pubs, an outstanding small restaurant and the hotel and members club 10 Castle Street.
When the land recently featured in an auction, the lot attracted a number of bids. After a flurry of bids, the half-acre of land sold at auction for £114,000.
