A lorry driver was hospitalised after becoming trapped following a crash with a tractor in a Somerset lane.
The crash between the HGV lorry and tractor took place in Stratton-on-the-Fosse on Monday afternoon (July 26).
At 4.05pm the fire service was alerted to the collision and control sent crews from Glastonbury, Shepton Mallet and Wells.
On arrival they found the lorry driver trapped.
They carried out first aid until the ambulance paramedics arrived.
The fire crews then freed the driver using an HGV platform, small tools and ratchet straps.
The injured driver was taken to hospital by road while the firefighters made both vehicles safe.
