A car was set alight and dumped in the River Frome yesterday afternoon (July 1).
Fire crews from Wareham Fire Station were mobilised to reports of the burning car.
A fire engine and the Unimog, an all wheel drive truck, were sent to a field on the outskirts of Wareham at just after 4pm.
On arrival, they found the empty car in flames, part way in the river, with reeds on the riverbank also on fire.
No casualties have been reported.
