On Wednesday (June 23) Kivells of Holsworthy saw the best of their dairy cattle reach £2150 on behalf of S and K Pomeroy of Putford with plenty of others around that magical £2000 mark.
A bumper entry of 236 baby calves and stirks saw the very best at £710 on behalf of Graham Hill and Family of Lamerton whilst the best of the baby calves hit £565 for a Charolais bull in from Messrs Sillifant of Pancrasweek who also topped the heifers at £430.
192 store cattle saw the trade raise again with the best steers to £1275 on behalf of Messrs Johns of Bude with the pick of the cows and calves to a massive £1710 on behalf of Bob Cowle of Helston.
Cull cows saw premium set at 148p/kg and a top call of £1254 on behalf of Graham May of Port Issac.
In the sheep pens trade eased back a little to an overall average of 231p/kg with the best at £114 for Messrs Stephens of Ocean View with premium set at 255p/kg for Messrs Caslake of Stratton.
412 cull ewes saw the best to £126 on behalf of PH & JE Wonnacott with an overall average of £94.50.
The first showing of store lambs topped at £85 on behalf of DJ Braund of Morwenstow with overall average of £75.50.
