A cow trapped in a river with a rope around its neck had to rescued yesterday afternoon (April 14).
Two crews from Taunton and Martock, together with the specialist animal rescue team from Bridgwater, were called to help the trapped cow at Huish Drove in Langport.
The farmer was on the scene and helped firefighters to release the cow using strops and animal rescue equipment.
