Firefighters, paramedics and an air ambulance crew had to rescue and help a man who was trapped in a tractor.

The incident took place on Monday evening, just before half past six, at Little Silver Lane in Wellington.

The ambulance arrived first to the scene and the crew called firefighters for support.

Two pumps from Wellington and the heavy rescue appliance from Taunton attended, along with a support pump and operational assurance officer.

A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "On arrival crews from Wellington got to work releasing the male who was trapped within the tractor unit.

"He was successfully removed and crews left him in the hands of paramedics and air ambulance crew."
