Two chartered surveyors and auctioneers based in the south west have merged.
Symonds & Sampson LLP has amalgamated with Heards RPS, a merger which brings two established firms together to enhance the range of services offered to farmers and land owners in Devon and Somerset.
Both firms have a wealth of knowledge and experience, and offer an extensive range of skills and services including planning, agency, valuation, farm business management and landlord and tenant matters.
It is a particularly exciting move for the two firms’ agricultural sales departments, who are both highly regarded within the region for their online, on-site and private treaty sales of livestock, machinery, fodder, standing crops and grass keep.
Symonds & Sampson partner Ross Willmington is particularly looking forward to the merger. He said: "Symonds & Sampson and Heards RPS have worked closely together for three or four years, and this merger is a perfect opportunity to establish a stronghold in the heart of Devon at Tiverton, as the firm expand our business further west."
Paul Heard became a partner with Symonds & Sampson on April 1, and is equally looking forward to the new venture.
He said: "Having built up a successful business serving clients across Devon and Somerset, we are very excited at the opportunity to join forces with the well-respected team at Symonds & Sampson to further enhance and develop the range of services we can offer to new and existing clients."
The new office opened on April 1 at 15 Swallow Court, Devonshire Gate, Tiverton, EX16 7EJ which is easily accessible from Junction 27 of the M5.
The Tiverton team will be Paul’s wife Angela, who will be continuing to support and develop the on-site and online auctions, graduate surveyor Toby Cleave and PA/office manager Heather Burrough.
The Tiverton office telephone number will be 01884 218911 and email tiverton@symondsandsampson.co.uk.
