A large fire broke out on a Cornish moor last night (February 9) - and arson is suspected.
The fire service received more than 80 calls reporting a large fire on the moor at St Breock Downs/Rosenannon, between Wadebridge and St Columb.
By 11.15pm crews from Wadebridge, St Columb, Padstow and Bodmin were tackling the fire with additional crews from St Columb and Padstow enroute.
At midnight multiple large fronts of gorse were alight.
To fight the fire, the crews sectorised and used beaters.
By 1am the fire had been extinguished.
Cornwall Fire Service says that arson is suspected.
