The winner of South West Farmer's annual festive photography competition has been announced.

The quality of entries was through the roof this year, resulting in a very difficult decision for the judges.

Running in association with Harpers Farm Supplies, our Christmas on the Farm competition called on budding photographers, creative decorators or anyone with time on their hands to send in their pictures of festivities on their farm.

After much deliberation, this year's winner has been selected as Emma Sleeman from Lower Kernick Farm Farm near Bodmin.

Emma's image of the younger members of the family featured three wonderful homemade snowmen crafted from round bales and decorated as is customary, complete with carrots as noses.

Judging the competition, South West Farmer editor Diarmuid MacDonagh said: "There were some wonderful entries that were a joy to see.

"Readers really engaged with the competition and their creativity was fantastic, from making Christmas wreaths out of tractor tyres to dressing up the farm's livestock.

"Thank you to everyone who took part in this fun celebration of Christmas on the Farm."

Close runners up were Rachel Allen with her adorably dressed Closewool sheep and Jo Bradley with the stunning pair of cattle, suitably attired for the festivities.

A special mention should also go to Jamie Lee Ball for a very moving photo of the new born calf.

Emma will receive £100 in vouchers for Harpers Farm Supplies' online store, plus a South West Farmer beanie hat.

It honestly was difficult to choose a winner, as you'll agree when you see the photo gallery above.

We hope that the photographs will bring some cheer to us all as we look back at 2020's end before 2021 locked down.
