An agricultural building near Dorchester caught fire early yesterday morning (January 21).
At 3.40am the fire service was alerted that a building was on fire off Drakes Lane in Cheselbourne.
Due to the agricultural nature of the building and the surrounding area, several appliances were mobilised.
These included pumps from Bere Regis, Dorchester, and Blandford, a water carrier from Poole and an off road vehicle from Wareham - a Uni Mog (pictured) - to help with water supply.
On arrival crews found a derelict agricultural building well alight.
Using two main lines, two hose reel jets and four breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
The electricity board also attended to make the incident safe.
One pump from Sturminster Newton returned to the incident at 11am hours to carry out a reinspection using a thermal imaging camera but no further hotspots were found.
