A MAN has been charged after ambulance staff were allegedly threatened with a baseball bat and a metal pole.
Police say the incident occurred at Lymore Lane, Lymington, at 2pm yesterday.
A police spokesman said: "Paul Mapes, 49, of Highfield Avenue, Lymington has been charged with one count of possession of an offensive weapon, one count of assaulting an emergency service worker and one count of possession of a Class A drug.
"He remains in custody at this time."
