A| WELLINGTON pub has announced it won't be re-opening immediately after the second Covid-19 lockdown ends.
The Vintage Inn, in Fore Street, has taken to social media to inform customers it will remain closed "for now" despite lockdown ending on Wednesday for pubs serving substantial meals.
The owners aim to re-open "in some capacity" a fortnight later on Wednesday, December 16, by which time the Government will have published details of its review of the tier system currently in operation.
The whole of the county council area of Somerset has been placed in Tier 2.
In the meantime, The Vintage will continue to supply takeaway roast dinners
The pub Facebook page has announced: "After a lot of thought and discussion, we have come to the conclusion that we are going to stay closed for now.
"We are going to try and open in some capacity from the 16th Dec after the next review.
"We think that this is the best choice for the business and the community.
"Thankyou for your ongoing support.
"We are continuing with our takeaway roast dinners. Hope to see you all before Christmas."
