A HOUSEHOLDER could be forced to remove a conservatory after losing a planning appeal.
An application to retain the conservatory beside a property at Pilley Hill, Pilley, was rejected by the New Forest National Park Authority (NPA) earlier this year.
The applicant lodged an appeal but an government-appointed planning inspector has upheld the NPA's decision.
The inspector's report says: "I recognise that the prospect of enforcement action is distressing for
the appellant and that removal of the conservatory would cause disruption.
"However the decision on whether to take enforcement action is at the discretion of the LPA (Local Planning Authority) and outside the remit of my decision in this appeal."
