THIS week, we have discovered a folder of photographs from the Mercury archives, showing notable locations in Bridgwater town centre.
We don’t know exactly when the photographs date from - the folder doesn’t say - but we are estimating it is from the late 1990s, or early 2000s.
Locations include the old Bridgwater Police Station, which closed in 2014, Sedgemoor Splash, which closed in 2009 and Bridgwater Magistrates Court, which closed in 2011 and has since seen redevelopment plans approved to convert it into flats and homes.
Bridgwater House - home to Sedgemoor District Council - also features, with different signage, and the Cornhill, pre-Prezzo.
The Mecca Bingo building is also included, as well as Bridgwater Town Hall, which has definitely seen some improvements since our pictures were taken.
Can you help us pin down the date?
