MEET four more new arrivals who were born amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Tobi Slade was born in St Mary's Maternity Unit, Poole on October 19 after mum Leanne had to attend all appointments and scans alone due to restrictions.

Maya Patel was born on September 9 after what her mum Roshni describes as "10 hours of a painful labour."

She said: "It was nothing but tears of happiness which then turned into sad anxiety filled tears and goodbye kisses. It was heartbreaking to see my hubby say hello to our baby but then to say goodbye shortly after. We had just welcomed our new addition but the experience quickly felt like a loss."

For Victoria Pol, giving birth to her daughter Chloe was quick and relatively straightforward thanks to the maternity staff.

She said: "I cannot thank the midwives and staff enough, they are amazing and I felt so relaxed and in very safe hands during these strange times."

Emilia-Rose Hitchings was born on October 17 at Dorchester Hospital and mum Abi described the care as "amazing."
