A Wadebridge farmer had a day to remember at the 27th Annual Holsworthy Dairy Event.
A top call of £3,600 was achieved by the overall champion cow 'Willsbro Dalliance Lila B' from the Willsbros team, who farm near Wadebridge.
Their second calver hit £3,100 and is going off to its new home in Scotland.
Speaking after the sale, Kivells’ director Mark Bromell said: “Today saw one of the best quality entries we have seen for the Holsworthy Dairy Event and it was probably the best trade we have seen, too.”

An exceptional entry of freshly calved heifers saw a very consistent trade throughout the sale.
This resulted in the top 24 averaging an immense £2,088 to a top call of £2,250 for 'Bocaddon Avenger Bj Emma' on behalf of Messrs Gilbert & Son of Sheepwash in West Devon.
Buyers were both on site and online.
