RESIDENTS' queries will be answered by a panel of experts from BCP council, Public Health and the police in a live Covid-19 Q&A session due to take place tomorrow.

The digital broadcasting over Microsoft, which can be viewed from 5pm on Thursday, October 29 by visiting web address bit.ly/34i21A7, will be chaired by BCP Council chief executive Graham Farrant, with Rachel Partridge, assistant director of Public Health for BCP Council, Cllr Nicola Greene, portfolio holder for Covid resilience and public health, and a representative from Dorset Police all available to answer questions.

The broadcast will include updates on the latest number and rate of Covid-19 cases in the BCP area, and the arrangements in place to mitigate spread of the virus.

It will be recorded and available to catch up on the council’s YouTube channel shortly afterwards.

Residents are asked to submit their Covid-19-related questions in advance by visiting bcpcouncil.gov.uk/Q&Alive.

BCP Council also host a fortnightly Facebook Live session every other Wednesday.

The next one will be a Covid-19 special with the council leader Cllr Drew Mellor and Cllr Greene. The session can be watched on the local authority's Facebook page today, Wednesday, October 28, at 1pm.

Cllr Nicola Greene said: “The Covid-19 situation is an ever-changing picture and it can be difficult to keep up with all the news and information being shared nationally.

“We believe it is really important to keep our residents up-to-date on important and relevant Covid-19 information in order to help them safe and ultimately save lives. By hosting these digital update and Q&A events, we hope to be able to keep local people updated and informed on information and guidelines that affect them.”
