Two people arrested in connection with a murder inquiry in Swindon and Cirencester have had their bail extended until mid-December.

The individuals, whose ages and sexes have not been released by Gloucestershire Constabulary, were arrested at the end of September on suspicion of murder. The alleged killing is not believed to be recent.

Detectives, search experts and police dogs spent around a week searching homes in Stratton and Cirencester at the start of October.

In a statement issued on Monday, Gloucestershire Constabulary said the two suspects had been re-bailed to return to the police station on December 16.

A spokesman said: “Enquiries remain ongoing.”
