THE Friends of Queen's Crescent School in Chippenham launched their second annual Pumpkin Trail on Friday.

The charity is raising much-needed funds for the primary school and is also supporting the local community.

Its recent food donation to the Salvation Army was featured on local radio during lockdown.

The theme of this year’s Pumpkin Trail competition is video games and the prizes are being sponsored by Bonnie's Sweet Shop in Chippenham.

The local Co-op store in Conway Road is also supporting the trail, which runs until Friday, October 30.

Organiser Maria Fuente, of The Friends of Queen’s Crescent School, said: “This year we have a theme of video games to help keep you guessing on your way round the trail, which has 23 displays to find.

“We have been sponsored by the lovely “Bonnie’s Sweets” and have some tasty prizes you could win in our draw after the trail has finished!

“At each spot on the trail you will need to search for a letter (or two) and have a guess at the video game or character!

“Once you have gathered all of the letters have a go at putting it together to make up something well known in the world of video games.”

All correct answers emailed to FOQC.competitions@gmail.com will go in a draw with a chance to win one of the Halloween sweetie hamper prizes donated by Bonnie's Sweet Shop.

Winners will be drawn at random from all correct entries on November 3 and notified that week. Winners' names will also be posted on the FOQC Facebook page.

The Pumpkin Trail takes in Kings Avenue, Derriards Lane, Berkeley Close, Arundel Close, Queens Crescent, Coniston Road, Littlecote Road, Wells Close, Winchester Close, Huntington Way, Sedgefield Way, Sandown Drive, Haydock Close, Warwick Close and Drake Crescent.
