'SORRY my mind was elsewhere' was the excuse a woman gave when she was stopped by police for speeding.
The Dorset Police No Excuse Team stopped a Mini on Smugglers Lane North, Christchurch, on Friday, after catching a parent driving at 47mph in a 30mph zone.
A spokesman for Dorset Police No excuse Team said: "She was rushing to collect her children from school. When we asked why she was speeding she replied 'sorry my mind was elsewhere.'
"Please slow down and keep your focus and mind on the road. No excuse."
