A super entry of prime cattle included a good proportion of single-suckled steers and heifers from a number of vendors as well as several well-finished dairy cross types.
Trade holding at similar levels to previous weeks with plenty of demand for all on offer.

Premium heifer at 215p/kg from a good run of Limousin crosses on behalf of Messrs. W.T. Bryant & Sons of St. Martin knocked down to the same buyer, with their heaviest 679kg heifer standing top value at £1,385 to J.V. Richards Ltd.
Seven steers £1,412+ with heaviest 706kg Limousin x steer from Messrs. Bryant at 209p/kg hitting £1,475, and a 738kg South Devon x from four for Messrs. F.T. & F.M. Johns of Cury at £2/kilo realising £1,476, both bought by David King of Exeter.

A similar entry of cull cows to previous weeks included a larger proportion of straight out of parlour dairy cows but also many well-fleshed beef and dairy types with trade reflecting weight and finish as always.
Some quality-bred beef cows forward saw a premium of 149p/kg for a Limousin x from Mr. R.T. Dunn of Menabilly bought by David Ellis of Lelant.
Another Limousin x close behind at 148p/kg being a big 816kg cow from Messrs. D.J, H.E. & J.E. Lugg of Cury, this one making top money of £1,208 to Dawn West Devon of Hatherleigh.
The same buyer went to 118p/kg (£915) for the standout Friesian of the day, a 775kg cow from Messrs. A.D. & J.A. Bray of St. Martin.
