A 19-YEAR-OLD had to go to hospital following an assault, during which it is believed his mobile phone was stolen.

On September 19, at around 11.20pm, the victim was with friends at the White Hart pub in Cheap Street, Sherborne, when he became involved in a verbal altercation with a man from another group.

As the victim left the pub he was assaulted by the man, who punched him several times. He was taken to hospital and received treatment for swelling to his head and also sustained grazes to his shoulder and neck.

Later the victim realised his phone – a black iPhone 11 – had gone missing during the incident.

Police officers would now like to speak to the man pictured in connection with what happened.
