FOURTEEN more people have tested positive for Covid 19 in Dorset.

Latest figures from Public Health England released on the government website show another 11 cases in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council area in the 24-hours up to 4pm on Monday, September 28.

That brings the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic to 1,186 with a rating per 100,000 of the population to 300.

In the Dorset Council area, a further three cases have been confirmed bringing the overall number of cases to 770.

The rate is 203.4.

The New Forest has had no new cases. The total number of cases remains at 599 with a rate of 332.6.

NHS England said a further 10 people who tested positive for coronavirus had died in hospitals in England.

The total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals is 29,918.

There were no deaths reported in hospitals in the south west.
